Dee Gibson is a Hotelier and Designer, and founder of Kalukanda House. A British Sri Lankan, Dee came to her passion of Interior Design in her early 30's via a degree in Electronic Engineering and a decade in Finance. She understands how life can take us in the wrong direction, how it can feel "too late for change" and she has trodden the path of life and career transformation multiple times.
A regular speaker and panellist for the British Institute of Interior Design, she speaks at International events on subjects such as Emotional Design, How Design can Influence Communities, Sustainability matters and Circular Economy.
Dee is a passionate advocate for freedom of choice for women and is particularly interested in finding ways to uplift disenfranchised women from all walks of life through education and championing of emerging talent. Dee is Deputy Chair of Trustees for a Sri Lankan charity which Kalukanda House helps to support through guest bookings.
She will be co-hosting some of the upcoming retreats.
